I have recently taken retirement from Devon Social Services. I live in a village called Buckland Brewer in North Devon, andI attend a Methodist Church in the village which is part of the Torridge Methodist Circuit in the Plymouth & Exeter Methodist District. We work closely with the Anglican Church in the Village and we are now one united congregation worshipping together weekly in both churches. I attend the Parish Church’s PCC Meetings which has given me some insight into the pressures and workings of the Anglican Church, as well as those on the Methodist Church, especially in a rural area. I am also a bell ringer.
I am a Local Preacher in Training and a Church Steward; I attend the Circuit Meeting and have attended the District Synod; I have represented the District at three Methodist Conferences. I am also on the District Safeguarding Team and produce the Circuit Newsletter. Beyond that I am involved in Community activities in the Parish, such as the Village Hall and Parish Council.
