The Revd Simon Crittall

I have served the Church of England as a parish priest for forty years, some of that time also as ecumenical adviser/officer.  If pushed, I would describe myself as an evangelical catholic (no capitals!).

I first felt called to work for the unity of Christ’s Church fifty years ago; while at university I co-organised a conference for the Anglican and Methodist chaplaincies on the unity proposals of the late 60s; I have had close relationships with individuals and/or congregations of most denominations from New Frontiers to Russian Orthodox.

In retirement I am living in Alfreton.

Mrs Wendy Ince

I am Wendy Ince living in Mansfield which is part of the Nottingham and Derby Methodist District. Before retiring, I was an advisory teacher in Nottinghamshire supporting young children with special educational needs.

I worship in a community church on a housing estate and in a town centre Anglican church where my husband is a church warden. As well as being a local preacher, I am currently a member of the District and Circuit leadership teams.

With this varied background, I now want to hear some of the many stories of Methodists and Anglicans working in partnership and to explore and share how we can strengthen and deepen our relationship in both mission and worship without losing our own identities.
